Golf in Cork Golf in County Cork is a major holiday activity that attracts many overseas golfers to this part of the Cork/Kerry region. Excellent air access out of the UK makes a golfing weekend an easy possibility for many people. It is claimed that Fota Island Golf Club near Cork Ciy represents one of the finest golfing challenges in the Cork/Kerry Region. This parkland course 14 kms east of Cork City is 6,319 metres in length and is a par-71. Fota Island is just one of a number of excellent golf courses in the immediate Cork City area. Other noteworthy challenges include Cork Golf Club and Harbour Point Golf Club at Little Island, also east of the City.

Play Fota Island golf club. Fota Island Golf Club is located a few minutes drive from Cork City with it's international airport and passenger ferry terminal. It lies in the heart of a 780 acre estate which is included in, "The Inventory of Outstanding Landscapes in Ireland".

Play Lee Valley golf club. Designed by Christy O'Connor Jnr. Lee valley is one of the top three golfs clubs in cork and situated only 8 miles from Cork City, this outstanding Championship Golf Course offers all golf enthusiasts a very relaxed yet challenging game of golf.

Day 6
Play Cork golf club, one of the finest clubs in Ireland. Founded in 1888, the course was redesigned in 1927 by the world famous golf architect Dr Alexander (Alister) Mackenzie, whose work includes such famous courses as Augusta National, Cypress Point and Royal Melbourne.
