Castletroy Golf Club
A pleasant though testing Parkland Course with an abundance of mature trees demanding accuracy off the tee with Out of Bounds on the left of the first two holes. The Par 5 10th features a narrow entrance to the green with a stream to catch the more adventurous. The Par 3 13th features a panoramic view of the countryside and the Par 4 15th (index 1) is a real tester. The tee shot on the closing hole is played to a valley with a difficult second to a green guarded by bunkers on both sides. In recent years the club has hosted the Irish Finals of both the Seniors and Mixed Foursomes Championships in addition to numerous Provincial Finals. This traditional parkland course is one of Ireland's most popular golfing venues. |
